The Copt Hill Inn, Seaham Road, opposite the site of the Seven Sisters Neolithic barrow excavation, is said to be haunted by the tormented spirit of a former landlord who had hung himself in the public bar.

Houghton Hall and the ghosts of Robert Hutton and the White Lady

HOUGHTON HALL

The domineering Houghton Hall, on the aptly named Hall Lane, was built around 1575 and is said to be haunted by the White Lady - and the ghost of Captain Robert Hutton.
