Houghton Feast 2012

Houghton Feast is an ancient festival held every October in Houghton-le-Spring, near Durham and Sunderland, in the North East of England. The Festival dates back to the 1100s when it originated as Michaelmas, the dedication service to the Parish Church of St Michael & All Angels.

The 2012 Houghton Feast is a 10 day festival, held in early October, and features a fairground, traditional ox roasting, church events, carnival parade, shows, community events, exhibitions, talks and tours, and fireworks!
