Specs for viewing 3-D photos (anaglyph) of old Houghton-le-Spring

How to view the 3-D images
Make or buy a pair of 3D anaglyph specs (red-blue), pop them on then click an image below to view the large version. Maximise it to fill the whole screen.

At first the image will seem blurry, but focus on a central point, and eventually the whole image will come into focus.

You will know it is working when the double-image becomes one. Also, when you move your head slowly from side to side, the 3-D image appears to move independently of your monitor's screen.
